Disabling Spectranet
Spectranext by design non-intrusive. When enabled, after all steps have initialized it goes out of the way to standard 48k ROM.
Because it has a pass-through connector you can plug another cartridge in, there are possible scenarious when you might want to disable Spectranext.
Spectranext provides a mechanism for you to do so without physically unplugging it.
When Specteanext is disabled in configuration, the cartridge will not respond to memory or I/O requests from the ZX Spectrum, effectively making it inactive.
To temporarily enable it again, press the magic button. To re-enable it permanently, press the magic button again and change configuration in the menu.
Use case: debugging
Spectranext retains a debugger active even when it is disabled, so it is becomes possible to debug an otherwise stock system, when Spectranext would only interfere when it makes sense according to debugging session.
